the policies

  • When pet owners cancel appointments at short notice it disrupts business and not only effects our income but also takes the opportunity away from another dog being groomed.

In order to avoid this we ask customers to cancel or reschedule appointments at least 48 hours prior to your time slot. Otherwise we will need to charge owners for the full amount of the booking.

  • Please ensure your dog has been to the toilet before your appointment and arrive on time. We work on one dog at a time providing a rush free service. Please respect our time schedule so we can treat your dog like a VIP (Very Important Pooch).

In addition we are required to have 15 minutes between customers. Arriving or leaving late puts our business operation at risk from the community and council.

  • We will send you a message 15 minutes before your dog is ready for collection. Please collect your dog as soon as possible and in any case within 15 minutes of being ready for collection so our next customer can have our full attention.

  • Drop Off

We have a streamlined booking system which relies on customers arriving on time. Should you arrive late, we will do our best to complete your pooch, however we may not be able to finish the service.

    Pick Up

If you arrive more than 30 minutes after our pick-up notification, we will charge a staycation fee of $20.

  • It’s important for dogs health and comfort they are washed and brushed well between grooms to avoid matting.

Our standard pricing does not include for de-matting. When a dog is matted it can cause skin irritations and often requires the dog to be shaved more than desired. It also takes additional time and effort and more wear and tear on our equipment. We will apply an additional charge when you come to collect your pooch and will give advice and education on how to avoid this going forward.

  • In order to normalise pricing we assume your dog will enjoy being pampered.

Most dogs spend their appointment happy as if they were at a day spa, looking at us with a smile and giving us the occasional lick. Some dogs do not quite see it this way! While we will do everything possible to calm your pet, if your dog becomes aggressive, excessively loud, or wriggles like no tomorrow we may need to stop the groom.

  • We may need to introduce positive reinforcement through throwing your dog a few treats.

We may also fall victim of puppy dog eyes and treat them anyway.

If you would prefer us not to treat your dog just let us know.

  • Some dogs are good as gold, others like a little wiggle, and occasionally some toss up unpredictable movements.

We secure your dog to the grooming table, but you can’t groom without sharp instruments and sometimes accidents can happen. We pride ourselves on taking the utmost care when grooming your dog, but very rarely your dog may become injured with small cuts or otherwise. If this occurs we do have first aid training and kits on hand and will let you know on collection.
